Winery Notes (2023 Vintage)
The wine exhibits expressive aromas with dominant shades of ripe cherries, plums, red berries and spices. Seamless, delicious and well crafted, there is excellent length and it is cracking value, drinking well above its price. The taste of wine is harmonious, and velvety, with light notes of liquorice and chocolate, with balanced acidity and an elegant finish.
Aromatically precise with plenty of sour red cherry and a hint of dried sage. This is savoury and satisfying Chianti – the soft texture of the palate leads into gritty tannins – the type that work so wonderfully with steak or rich protein. There’s a charry element to the wine as well, that keeps things deep, dark and mysterious to the end.

91/100 Ken Gargett, WinePilot.com, January 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"Jump on this. Chianti from a top-notch vintage for this price? A maroon/plum hue, savoury in style with hints of chocolate, undergrowth, cherries, rosemary bushes, soy, aniseed and roast meats. A mid-weight wine, seamless in structure, with balance, very fine tannins, focus and a lingering finish. Thoroughly enjoyable now, but it can be consumed any time over the next four years. Brilliant value."
