Winery notes (2020 Vintage)
"Ruby red in colour this wine has indigo blue and violet hues. There is a concentration of delicious, bright pomegranate and boysenberry aromas followed by mouthwatering blackberry pie crust. Flavours are led by bright raspberry and red cherry cola, all of which are framed by a subtle pepper note. The cheerful fruit is complemented by baking spice, most notably clove and cinnamon, with soft, mouth-watering tannins delivering a round, balanced finish.
Artezin Zinfandel is instantly recognizable as a classic, fruit-forward, “zinny” Zin. This signature style offers a full-bodied wine with round tannins and moderate alcohol. Artezin Mendocino County Zinfandel represents a blend of the best sustainably farmed grapes from family-owned vineyards in the ridgelines and benchlands of the Ukiah Valley."

5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, March 2022 (2019 Vintage)
"Beautifully styled and complex, it's splendidly lifted on the nose showing dried cherry, vanilla, hazelnut and cake spice aromas, leading to a wonderfully flavoursome palate offering plush mouthfeel and velvety tannins. Sweetly ripe with savoury nuances, it's gorgeously drinkable. At its best: now to 2027."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, April 2022 (2019 Vintage)
"Five spice and blackberry fruits, dark plum and sweet oak with toasty vanilla and clove suggestions. Some cassis and blue fruit layers as well as tart cherry. Luscious and salivating on the palate with firm, ripe tannins and medium+ acidity accentuating the tart side of the fruits then flavours of dark berries return along with spice and texture. A lovely wine, perfect for food or on its own. Best drinking from 2022 through 2029."
5 Stars & 18.5/20 (93) Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, April 2022 (2019 Vintage)
"Deep ruby-red, lighter on edge. The nose is full and welcoming, with ripe black raspberries, cherries, boysenberries lifted by pepper, followed by cinnamon buns. Full-bodied, nuances of cherries, black raspberries and boysenberries have good depth, unfolding pepper, cinnamon buns and salted caramel element. The fruit has excellent freshness and depth, supported by balanced acidity; supple, smooth tannin provides structure and allows the delicious fruit and spice to shine. Match with braised short ribs and char siu over the next 5-7 years. A blend of 82% Zinfandel, 14% Petite Sirah, 4% Carignan, fermented to 14.8% alc, aged 10 months in 1 to 2-year-old French oak barrels."
