Anselmi San Vincenzo is grown in the Monteforte area within the Veneto region of northern Italy. Light straw in colour, it is crisp and pure, with scents of minerals, lemon/lime, ripe melon and white pepper. Medium-bodied and fruit-forward with a clean, dry finish.
Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"The wine takes its name from San Vincenzo Ferreri, the patron saint of vine growers. An expressive, creamy white wine, offering flavours of blood orange granita, fresh tarragon, and yellow peach, with a juicy finish. Excellent as an aperitif, it pairs beautifully with Italian antipasti and first courses, shellfish and mollusks, as well as with fusion and spiced cuisine."
Oz Clarke, leading UK Wine writer and critic
"Anselmi used to be the guiding light of Soave wine, but he increasingly found that local restrictions were preventing him from expressing his full creativity so he gave up using “Soave” on his label, and its their loss, not his. Anselmi wines have never been better. This is wonderfully original wine, smelling of ripe russet apples, baked pears and savoury custard and tasting of pear and pineapple syrup that rich but doesn’t cloy, and is cut by a spritzy tingle and the acid of boiled lemons and russet apple peel. But there’s more, if you linger: a fern-like herb aroma, a kind of celestial boiled honey and fruit lozenge, some quince and crab-apple jelly. The longer you linger, the more you’ll find."
93/100 James Suckling (2023 Vintage)
"Plenty of fresh fern character to the citrusy fruit on the nose. Medium-bodied with dense lemon-curd and zest, but the more herbal element is always there, as well as a hint of spice. Long finish with a whiff of fresh spearmint coming through. Plenty to enjoy here. Quietly complex."
92/100 Ken Gargett, WinePilot.com, April 2025 (2023 Vintage)
"Based on the region’s famous Garganega grape, this wine has almost a third of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc incorporated. This leaves us with a wine that perhaps does not have quite the same focus we might have expected from straight Garganega but instead, provides a softer, more mellow style, though still delightfully pristine. Should be an absolute crowd-pleaser. Straw/yellow, the aromas exhibits notes of stone fruit, florals, lemons and ripe peaches with crushed herbs. Quite a fruit salad nose. The structure is seamless and it is a wine of medium weight with a flick of acidity and a lingering finish. Like this a lot, it should provide immense pleasure over the next three to five years."
91/100 Jeff Porter, Wine Enthusiast, July 2025 (2023 Vintage)
"Zesty grapefruit pith and fresh-cut lime meld with crushed river stones and wild sage in this vibrant Veneto white. The Garganega-led blend shows its Soave roots while channeling Sauvignon Blanc-like precision, as citrus notes cascade across a mineral-driven palate with mouthwatering acidity and focus."
