Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"Intense colour with bright purple hues. Vibrant black fruits with rich dark chocolate and subtle vanillin oak aromas. Medium to full bodied palate weight, characterised by satisfying tannins and a savoury masculine finish. An Ideal accompaniment to red meat and premium cuts of prime beef. Will continue to improve over the next 4-6 years."
93/100 Ray Jordan, WinePilot.com, August 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"You’re getting a lot of wine for this price. Crazy stuff. Deep dark colours are the first indicator. The aromas of minerally ironstone and blackcurrant reveal with traces of dark chocolate and black olive tapenade. The palate is firm and powerful yet with a subtle touch creating almost graceful lines through to the finish. Excellent oak and tannin balance."
5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, February 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"This is immediately enticing on the nose, showing blackcurrant, floral, thyme and toasted almond notes, followed by a succulent palate that's generously textured and lingering. Harmonious and structured with finely infused tannins, making it delectable and highly enjoyable. At its best: now to 2030."
88/100 Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front, November 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"This is rugged and gutsy and would be a good partner for steak, I’d reckon. It presents dark berried fruit flavours with gum leaf, raspberry, briar bush and dry, twiggy herbs. It tastes of Australia, basically. Bold, gum-leafy, substantial and with a bitter/dark chocolate note to finish."
