Their Pinot Noirs are a highlight, known for their fruit-forward style, complexity, and silky tannins. Fermented in small batches using a mix of wild and inoculated yeast, these wines are then matured in French oak for 10 months, capturing the nuances of each vintage. The Chardonnay, inspired by the famed Chablis region of France, is barrel-fermented with a touch of new oak, resulting in a wine with balanced fruit, fine acidity, and great length.
Matt Connell’s wines consistently garner high praise, regularly receiving five-star reviews and prestigious awards. The Rendition Pinot Noir has been particularly lauded, winning Champion Wine of Show and Champion Pinot Noir at the New Zealand International Wine Show for multiple vintages.
