Winery notes (2018 Vintage)
"Ripe hand picked fruit, gentle winemaking and maturation in French oak have resulted in a complex and powerful wine, with aromas of ripe cherries and violets, a rich and silky smooth palate and a long spicy finish. A great example of one of the best Central Otago Pinot Noirs. Excellent value, drinking fantastically well now and will develop and cellar for several years."
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, July 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"It's fabulously fruited and perfumed on the nose showing sweet cherry, toasted almond, subtle spice, olive and floral aromas. The palate displays excellent concentration and persistency backed by silky texture and fine grainy tannins, finishing wonderfully long and seductive. This is gorgeously composed and expressed. At its best: now to 2028."

92/100 Cameron Douglas, December 2019 (2017 Vintage)
"Really lovely bouquet with aromas of wild flowers and red cherries, wild dried thyme and a sandy, gravel soil. Judicious oak use with a French vanilla and toasty spice notes. On the palate – youthful, tense, dry and loaded with textures from fruit to oak tannins, medium+ acidity and complex, lengthy finish. A wine destined for your cellar (if you can show some love for that) and let it integrate more please. Best drinking should be from 2021 through 2025. In the meantime – decant for service and serve with Canterbury lamb roast to medium-rare."
DWWA 2019 (2017 Vintage)
"An elegant and charming wine with dark cherry fruit aromas and savoury notes, pleasing texture on the palate, abundant tannins and acidity to match."
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2017 Vintage)
"This single-vineyard Cromwell red is typically classy. The deeply coloured 2017 vintage was French oak-aged for 11 months. Full-bodied, it is youthful, with concentrated, vibrant, plummy, spicy, slightly nutty flavours, showing very good complexity, fresh acidity and fine-grained tannins. Well worth cellaring, it should be at its best 2021+."
4 Stars Cuisine Pinot Noir Tasting, April 2020 (2017 Vintage)
"Exotic, ripe, bright reds with an extroverted twist showing a hint of bottle age for complexity. Good entry through the palate with red fruits mirrored from the nose and tannins that are both dense and chalky just starting to show themselves. Smooth and silky with a long finish."
