Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"Classic floral varietal aromas of violets and roses, combined with exotic notes of orange zest and cinnamon, the elegant sweet-fruited palate is balanced by gentle silky tannins."
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, November 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"It's sweetly fruited and seductively savoury at the same time, showing dark cherry, vanilla, dried herb, toasted spice and hazelnut characters on the nose. It's wonderfully weighted and richly layered on the palate, offering terrific fruit intensity combined with refined mouthfeel, leading to an impressively long velvety finish. At its best: now to 2029."

"Estate-grown at Bendigo, in the Cromwell Basin, the very youthful, vigorous 2019 vintage was hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for a year in French oak hogsheads (25 per cent new). Full, bright ruby, it is mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, savoury notes adding complexity, fresh, finely balanced acidity and supple tannins. Showing obvious potential for cellaring, it should be at its best 2023+."
Rated Outstanding & 95/100 Cameron Douglas MS, October 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"There’s no mistaking the complexity, purity, fruit, spice and toasty barrel allure in the bouquet. On the palate – equally complex with a core of red berry fruit flavours – cherry, dried raspberry and a little plum. The mineral message is strong with cold mountain stone laced with a savoury wild thyme. The messages of place and time are clear and pure. Firm youthful grip from tannins and medium+ acidity then spices of oak and a savoury complexity capture the wine’s foundation. All this wine now needs is time. Serve now with protein rich food or cellar till 2023 then enjoy through 2033+."
5 Stars & 19-/20 (95) Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, October 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"Deep, transparent ruby-red with a deep purple hue, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegantly presented, gentle aromas of violet, herbs, interweave Doris plums, cherries and delicate spices. Medium-full bodied, the palate is refined, nuances of dark plums and cherries are pure with intensity and freshness, violet fragrant and soft spices are well proportioned, dark tone of herbs lingers on the finish. Tannin extraction is fine and silky, leaves a polished mouthfeel supported by lacy, integrated acidity. Floral violet and herbs linger on lending a lengthy, elegant finish. This is a dark-fruited Pinot Noir with violet and herbs details, shows good intensity and finesse, already delicious, will develop well. Match with venison loin and duck over the next 6-8 years. The fruit was fermented with an average of 6% whole bunch to 14% alc; the wine spends on average 27 days on skins, aged in French oak hogsheads, 25% new 300-litre barrels."
