Woodhenge is a monument to "BIG" ideas and to a unique vision of what makes Wirra Wirra special and well, a bloody big fence that weighs about 10 tonnes.

Think rich blackberries and plums with dark chocolate. The nose is complex with vanilla and all spice and layered with smoky oak. The palate has wonderful density with dark fruits and cedary oak notes. It is mouth filling with great depth and the plush tannins and structure provide a long and supple line.
90/100 Decanter, February 2017 (2014 Vintage)
"A black fruit and herb nose leads into a macerated black cherry and dried herb palate, with mint, liquorice and sweet spices too. Grippy tannins and a grilled meat character sit alongside the Ripasso-like, textured fruit structure."
90/100 Gary Walsh, The Wine Front (2014 Vintage)
"Blue and black fruits, exotic spice and perfume, toasty vanilla oak. Full bodied, fleshy dark fruits, grainy tannin, even acidity and a toasty perfumed gritty finish. Some oyster shell character and brine in there too. Not sure it’s a long term wine, but it’s satisfying regional drink to be supped over the next few years."
90/100 Huon Hooke (2014 Vintage)
"Very deep, dark purple/red colour; very youthful. It's almost medicinal to sniff, showing super-ripe star anise fruit. Some savoury woodsy notes, on nose and palate, and the tannins are drying and very firm on the palate. A big, bold and rather rustic wine, not that elegant but loaded with flavour and guts. Very cellarworthy."
92/100 ozwinereview.com (2014 Vintage)
"Intended to be a classic McLaren Vale Shiraz, this is dark purple/maroon coloured and Vale to the core. It smells of fig, fudge and both cooked and fresh plums, with the open-knit, mid weight palate drenched in purple fruit with vanilla oak sweetened edges and lovely fine tannins. There’s a real composure here shows all that is good about riper styled McLaren Vale Shiraz without going too far. It’s not profound but gosh this packs plenty of genuine regional Shiraz flavour. Best drinking: 2016-2030."
