PACKAGING FREE WINE


In conjunction with Everyday Wines we are now offering packaging-free natural wines available on tap instore at Vino Fino.

Everyday Wines work closely with wineries up and down the country to bring you organic, natural wines straight from the winery to our store, and offer them to you on tap, packaging free.

We fill to order, and fill into sturdy, heavy-duty 750ml swing top bottles ($3) that you can later reuse. Alternatively you can bring in your own container to fill and we charge by volume. The wines are held under nitrogen and the bottles are pre-gassed before filling to prevent oxidation. We suggest opening the wine within 2-3 weeks of purchasing it and consuming the wine within 1-2 days of opening.

Once you’ve finished with the bottle pop back into our stores for a refill, or use the bottles for other drinks, ferments, sauces, etc!

2022 Still Life Pinot Gris $27

100% Pinot Gris from BioGro certified organic vineyard No. 4892 in Marlborough. Hand harvested, fermented and matured in Stainless Steel.

This Pinot Gris has varietal and regional typicity; soft, rounded stonefruit, citrus, green apple, nashi pear. It’s dry, clean and with a delicious, refreshing acidity.


2021 Jauma Why Try So Hard? $35

James Erskine from Jauma (“Yaow-ma”) is back at it again! This time with a new rendition of Why Try So Hard?, this time made with skin-contact Chenin Blanc, Arneis and Sauvignon Blanc, along with a blush-pink addition of carbonic maceration Shiraz.

There’s lots going on and lots to love… this is where orange wine meets textural rosé. As always with Jauma: organic, wild fermented, unfiltered, unfined and made with no additions whatsoever.


2021 Still Life Chilled Red $30

True to its name, Chilled Red is exactly what this is. A blend of Syrah, Pinot Noir, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, this one is that plush, juicy and light chilled red that has everyone reaching for another glass.

From a BioGro certified organic vineyard in North Canterbury and grown on predominantly clay soils, with some areas of sandy loam, sandstone, limestone and gravels, each varietal was separately vinified having been wild fermented and gone through full malolactic fermentation in stainless steel, and then blended. Vegan. Unfiltered. Unfined. No added sulphites.


2021 Xavier Halfway To Heaven $32

Halfway to Heaven is Xavier Goodridge’s 2021 chilled red blend, made of skin-fermented Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz from Xav’s own vineyard in Gippsland, Victoria. It’s bright, fresh and fruity on the nose and palate, yet decently layered and textural on the palate.

Xavier is no stranger to us or to New Zealand… Xav is the other half of Jumping Juice, and just like Patrick Sullivan, uses the wines under his own name to distinguish what he grows and makes himself at his Maffra, Gippsland vineyard.


2021 Juama Disco Special $35

James Erskine crafts some of the most beautiful natural wines in Australia and is, without question, reference point material for great zero-zero natural winemaking. He, together with Tom Shobbrook, Anton van Klopper and Sam Hughes started ‘Natural Selection Theory’ back in 2012, and the rest is history (click here to go down a total rabbit hole).

Disco Special started as a one-off cuvée that James made for his USA friends, and later grew to a wine that would be offered in Australia and now NZ! It’s a blend of Shiraz and Grenache, and in typical fashion of Jauma Grenache it’s a darker, more structured red that comes at no cost to drinkability… plush, dark, soft, spicy, supple. We’re hunting for more adjectives that do it justice, it’s simply brilliant!

As always with Jauma: organic, wild fermented, unfiltered, unfined and made with no additions whatsoever.


2020 Still Life Pinot Noir $27

The fruit for this Still Life Wine was sourced from the Churton and Wrekin Vineyards in Marlborough – BioGro certified organic #5121 and 5732 respectively.

100% Pinot Noir, hand harvested then wild fermented in stainless steel with the majority being whole berry and destemmed fruit (with just 25-30% whole bunches). Once pressed the wine was left to mature in aged French oak barriques until blended. It has been kegged unfiltered, unfined, unadjusted and without any sulphites added at all – a true natural wine. 13.1% alc/vol.

Stylistically this is a serious Pinot Noir; dense, savoury, brambly and with good structure too. It’s refined, structured and as you will have come to expect of Still Life Wines, it’s a delicious, well-made, and suitable for any audience.


2020 Still Life Syrah $30

The fruit for our 2020 Still Life Syrah was sourced from BioGro certified organic vineyard no. 5084 in Marlborough. Here, the fruit was harvested by hand, destemmed into stainless steel and given just a handful of gentle punchdowns before being left to wild ferment in tank. After a week it was pressed into aged French oak barrels (0% new) and left until it was ready to be kegged in mid-July 2021. Unfiltered, unfined (vegan) and with 20ppm SO2 added prior to kegging.

Marlborough Syrah always tests the growing limits because it is so (relatively speaking) cool, but here we managed to strike an incredibly pleasant balance of ripeness/fruit sweetness and savoury/tertiary development. Here you can expect violets, florals, spice, and blue fruit, and also some dense, sinewy, wholesome tannins.


2020 Still Life Tempranillo $26

100% Tempranillo from a BioGro certified organic vineyard in the Bendigo sub-region of Central Otago. Hand harvested, destemmed, wild fermented in stainless steel and then matured in large format French oak. Unfiltered, unfined (vegan), contains sulphites.

Stylistically this is a dark, brooding, full body red. Rich aromas of plum, dark cherry and spice, the wine has firm, present tannins which gives the wine complexity, structure and interest to complement its generous, plump, juicy palate. A really delicious, delightful red.
