"Brilliant straw-yellow colour with light golden-green hues, paler on the rim. The bouquet is full and harmoniously melded with voluminous aromas of rose-petal florals, Turkish Delight and nuances of root ginger, unfolding soft, exotic spice elements that build in depth and concentration. Medium-dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate features bright, lively and succulent flavours of rose-petals, Turkish Delight, honey and spices, along with nuances of root ginger. The mouthfeel is refreshing with fresh, lacy acidity balancing the subtly unctuous textures and the wine is guided by a fine-featured line, leading to a dry, lingering finish of florals and spices. This is a bright and lively medium-dry Gewurztraminer with rose-petal, Turkish Delight, honey and spice flavours on a near-unctuous palate that finished fine and dry. Match with mildly spicy Asian and Middle Eastern cuisine over the next 3-4 years. Three parcels of fruit from the Waimea Plains and one from Ruby Bay, fermented in tank to 13.5% alc., and 11 g/L RS, the wine aged on light lees."

"Voluptuous, fragrant and enticing bouquet of flowers, spice and ripe fruits; apple and white pears, white peach and fleshy Asian pear, just enough exotic tones. On the palate - off dry to begin with but eventually finishes dry; flavours of exotic fruits return, spices and warming alcohol along with a lengthy finish make for very nice drinking indeed. Great balance and finish. Drink now and through 2020."
