"Full, deep, near impenetrable black-hued purple-red colour, youthful in appearance. The nose is rich and softly full with rounded, but concentrated aromas of ripe blackberry fruit along with a detailed amalgam of dark herbs, spicy plums, blue fruits and a little earthiness. Medium-full bodied, the palate has well concentrated, rich flavours of blackberries, spicy black plums and blue fruits, along with nuances of herbs and earth. The fruit has good extract and presence, with light, grainy tannin grip, and fresh lacy acidity providing good energy and liveliness, enhancing the fruit richness. The flavours carry to an elegant, lingering finish of plums and spices. This is a rich an harmoniously concentrated Malbec with blackberry and black plum fruit, spice notes, and blue fruit elements on a light-structured palate. Match with game meat and casseroles over the next 4 years. 100% Malbec, from the Uco Valley, Mendoza, hand-picked and indigenous yeast fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 8 months on lees in concrete vats, and bottled without oak contact."
