"The refined 2014 vintage, from the 'best vineyard parcels', was fermented and matured in French oak puncheons (15 per cent new), and given a full, softening malolactic fermentation. It is an elegant, sweet-fruited wine with rich, youthful peach, grapefruit and subtle oak flavours, and a long, finely balanced finish. Best drinking 2017+.​"

"Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The nose is well-proportioned with tightly concentrated and intense aromas of white stonefruits entwined with a refined amalgam of nutty oak, flinty lees complexities and mineral detail. The aromatics unfold lifted new oak elements with aeration. Medium-bodied, the flavours of white stonefruits, nutty oak and flinty, minerally lees are stylishly restrained in expression. The mouthfeel is smooth-flowing with subtle creamy barrel-ferment textures, the palate guided by a very fine phenolic line, enlivened by fresh acidity. Sweetness and power unfold and carry the wine to an elegant, lingering, finely detailed finish with stonefruit and nutty nuances. This is an elegant, restrained Chardonnay with subtle richness and stonefruit and nutty oak detail, driven by underlying power. Match with poultry and pork dishes over the next 4-5+ years. Mendoza clone fruit from the ‘Home’ vineyard, WBP and indigenous yeast barrel-fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 10 months in barriques and 15% new puncheons, and undergoing 100% MLF."
