Winery notes (2020 Vintage)
"Sourced from The Mound, Deans and Home Block vineyards in the Waipara Valley, with deep free draining Glasnevin gravels. Pinot Noir fruit parcels harvested in the cool of the morning, crushed and soaked on skins for 4 hours to develop. Drained juice was then settled and racked before fermentation. Once desired sweetness reached, the ferment was cooled and stopped. Wine was left on lees for several weeks, before being fined using traditional methods.
Subtle pink blush. Aromas of lifted light red berry fruit such as raspberry and a hint of stone fruit. Gentle red berry fruit flavours provide an inviting entry to a more complex, textured and mineral palate with a balanced crisp finish."
5 Stars, Top 10 & Best Buy, Cuisine Rose Tasting, December 2020 (2020 Vintage)
"This Waipara rosé is happy to show off its many charms. A pale cherry-red colour follows through to cherry-based characters both on the nose and palate alongside a characteristic reminiscent of hard-boiled sweets. Intriguing cranberries are balanced by sweet and sour notes that drive through to the dry yet mouthwatering finish."
