5 Stars Michael Cooper (2016 Vintage)
"Grown at the Keltern Vineyard, a warm, inland site east of Maraekakaho, this consistently impressive wine is hand-picked, fermented with indigenous yeasts and lees-aged in French oak barriques (30 per cent new in 2016). The 2016 vintage, barrel-aged for 10 months, is striking. The bouquet is rich and complex; the palate is highly concentrated, with vibrant grapefruit and stone-fruit flavours, slightly smoky, tight-knit, dry and sustained. A potentially great wine, it's well worth cellaring to 2020+."

Top 10 & 5 Stars Cuisine Chardonnay Tasting, August 2017 (2016 Vintage)
"Making one of its regular appearances in our top 10 is this latest offering from a vineyard with a great chardonnay pedigree. Poised, lovely flinty scents set the tone. In the mouth there is plenty of fruit to back up the smoky overlay. This is a serious, energetic and persistent wine."

93/100 Jamie Goode, January 2018 (2016 Vintage)
"Intense and concentrated with a nice balance of toasty, nutty richness, bold pear and peach fruit, and some fine spiciness. Very expressive with a concentrated, unfurled personality and some reductive depth. Very nice."

IWSC 2017 (2016 Vintage)
"Herbal aromas showing honey and lime, bramley apples and lemon. An elegant and chalky texture coats the palate before leading onto the long finish."

Sue Courtney,, February 2018 (2016 Vintage)
"Glossy citrine gold in the glass with tantalising grilled peach and hazelnut scents and lightly toasty, savoury and nutty to the taste with warmth to the compounding mouthfilling finish that oozes malt and butterscotch with the lusciousness nicely offset by juicy grapefruit acidity. Noticeably dry and flinty as it lingers – a top wine that’s still evolving and will reward with further cellaring."
