Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"A single parcel of Albariño was handpicked from a small area within the Joseph Soler Vineyard, whole bunches were gently pressed with the finest juice settled prior to being racked to our concrete egg-shaped vessel for fermentation and maturation. The wine was ages on full lees for 10 months before being bottled in March 2023.
The nose of this wine features tropical melon and peach notes entwined with refreshing mandarin. Subtle saline and mineral notes from the fermentation in the concrete egg frame a textural palate and a salivating finish. Delicious on its own, Albariño is a wonderful match for seafood. Try it with Ceviche, pan-fried fish, or a plate of fresh oysters."
Rated Classic & 5 Stars Michael Cooper, October 2023 (2022 Vintage)
"The invitingly scented, youthful 2022 vintage was fermented in a concrete, egg-shaped vat. Bright, light lemon/green, it is rich and tight-knit, with strong, vigorous, peachy, citrusy flavours, gentle yeasty notes, a mineral thread and a dry, lingering finish. Still unfolding, it should be at its best 2025+."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, September 2023 (2022 Vintage)
"Bright, fresh, fruity and enticing bouquet of green pear and lemon, a touch of spice and mineral then a floral highlight. Crisp and dry as the wine touches the palate, a core of lemon and pear flavours reflect the bouquet wrapped in a youthful and textured acid line. As the wine opens out in glass flavours of white peach begin to emerge along with a gentle white spice quality. Well made, crisp and dry, salivating and new. Best drinking from early 2024 through 2027+."
