Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"The Trinity Hill 125 Gimblett Chardonnay is an outstanding example of time and place. The Gimblett Road site is distinctive for the unusually deep silt over gravel which is part of the secret to hand crafting extraordinarily complex Chardonnay with power, focus and purity. 125 Gimblett Chardonnay will continue to age well with cellaring over the next 6-8 years."
5 Stars & Number 2 Cuisine NZ Chardonnay Tasting, August 2021 (2019 Vintage)
"A relaxed wine with supple power, toasted mealy aromas complete with melon, citrus pith, nutty peach stone, and subtle flint shine on the nose. On the palate this is a dense wine with superb balance, poised weight and textural elegance that allows that citrus pith along with fresh young apple to shine. Incredible length leading to a stunning finish."
Rated Outstanding & 96/100 Cameron Douglas MS, March 2021 (2019 Vintage)
"A powerful bouquet, youthful, taut and focused with precise aromas of youthful fresh citrus and stone fruits, new French oak wood and toasty barrel spices, gun flint and a developing leesy autolysis complexity. Full-bodied, complex, highly textured and complex on the palate with flavours of citrus peel and crunchy raw stone fruit flesh, vanilla and Brazil-nut flavours of oak, tense, woody, youthful and primary. Some wood tannins, plenty of acidity, grapefruit pith, a touch of gun flint, apple and stony mineral flavours contribute to a lengthy complex finish. A wine for the cellar – ready from mid 2022 through 2028+. A worthwhile investment."

5 Stars & 97/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, March 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"A stunning chardonnay; this is opulent yet elegant, powerful yet sophisticated. The gloriously expressed bouquet shows ripe nectarine, fig, lemon pith, vanilla and cedar characters with a hint of brioche. It's impressively weighted and expansive on the palate, delivering terrific fruit purity together with seductive oak infusion, leading to a magnificently long creamy finish. At its best: 2021 to 2028."
5 Stars Michael Cooper (2018 Vintage)
"A delicious, notably 'complete' wine, the debut 2018 vintage was hand-harvested from clone 95 vines in the Tin Shed Vineyard, which has 'unusually deep silt over gravel', and fermented and lees-aged for 17 months in a new French oak puncheon. It has an invitingly fragrant, complex bouquet, leading into a lovely young wine with concentrated, peachy, mealy, slightly biscuity flavours, showing notable depth, texture and refinement. Best drinking 2022+."
