Winery notes (2018 Vintage)
"Maraschino — redcurrant — cinnamon — dry forest — cedar — graphite — tamarillo spice — snap — silky tannins — poised elegance
Softly compelling ruby-red in colour, a hue of radiant warmth. Elegant, aromatic cluster of red and black cherries, red berries, earthy summer undergrowth, wild herbs with an underlying smokiness. Red fruit on entry, silky smooth texture, morello cherry, mixed spices with a river stone minerality on the reprise. Gentle support from oak, built around a delicate frame of acidity. A nod to the old world — wise, calm and assured."
Rated Outstanding & 95/100 Cameron Douglas MS, July 2021 (2018 Vintage)
"Fantastic bouquet with aromas of mineral and sense of place first, then red berry fruits of cherry and red plum, light delicate sweetness of barrel then a lifted rose scent showcases complexity and charm. On the palate – youthful with plenty of tension and poise, but showing an underlying core of varietal light red fruit flavours, fine chalky textured tannins, decent acid line and fine savoury dried herb moments. A lovely wine with charm, elegance, flavour and texture. Best drinking from late 2022 through 2028+."

4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2016 Vintage)
"Hand-picked from 'old' vines, the 2016 vintage was barrel-matured for a year. Deep ruby, it is full-bodied and concentrated, with strong cherry, plum and spice flavours, nutty, savoury notes adding complexity, finely balanced tannins, and a long, harmonious finish. Drink now or cellar."
94/100 Mike Bennie, The Wine Front, June 2018 (2016 Vintage)
"Sweet cherry, faint raspberry scents, a touch of amaro and blood orange. Really like the perfume. Glossy and bright in the palate, sour cherry flavours here, so pure-feeling, effortless glide, soft, brisk, herb n orange-y finish. It’s lovely, does balance well, does length well, and satisfaction plus."
