Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"Aromas of gooseberries, sweet capsicum, meyer lemon, hints of basil and crushed tomato leaf combined with warm, wet river gravels. Bright citrus, fresh granny smith, white nectarine with underlying tropical notes and crushed passionfruit seed on the reprise. All encased by a generous silken texture. The palate is washed over with a saline minerality to give a refreshingly dry savoury finish.
All fruit is estate grown organically. We are looking for a combination of ripe flavours, bold acidity, and satisfying texture. We pick the fruit from each of our three terraces individually and they remain separate throughout vinification.
66% of the final wine is vinified in stainless steel tanks, to preserve the chrisp fruit profile and to protect the distinctive thiols of our Sauvignon Blanc. The remaining 33% of the wine is fermented with high solids and wild yeast in old French oak, bringing in the complexity of texture and minerality to the final wine."
Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, December 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"Super fresh, bright and varietal bouquet with core scents of fresh white fleshed tropical fruits and lemon lime citrus highlights, some sweet green apple, red bell-pepper and hay. Dry with a satin touch before the acid line engages the senses salivating, saline and fresh. Flavours of citrus and fresh herbs, some tropical fruits and whisper of white pepper. Luscious and fresh with best drinking from 2024 through 2027."
