Gold Medal – Royal Easter Wine Show 2020
Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"The aromatics show good depth. Medium-dryish to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has rich flavours of stonefruit with exotic florals and honeysuckle. There is also a layer of nutty, creamy complexity."
5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, February 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"Fabulously fruited and instantly appealing, the wine shows ripe nectarine, fresh pear, mango and subtle spice notes on the nose, leading to a wonderfully flavoursome palate that's succulent and elegantly opulent. It's supple and fleshy with bright acidity, finishing gorgeously long and delicious. At its best: now to 2024."
Reviews for 2018 vintage below…
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2018 Vintage)
"Worth cellaring, the 2018 vintage was hand-harvested at Waipara and 60 per cent of the blend was fermented with indigenous yeasts in old oak barrels. Bright, light yellow/green, it is mouthfilling and fleshy, with good intensity of ripe stonefruit flavours, still very vibrant and youthful, a hint of honey, balanced acidity and an off-dry (14 grams/litre residual sugar) finish. Best drinking 2021+."
