This wine is absolutely delicious. The Chapman family's organic vineyard on the Glasnevin gravels of Waipara has had some serious recognition recently and was awarded the Organic Vineyard of the Year in 2018. This sweeter Riesling has become a bit of a signature wine for them and the 2019 is another star.
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, January 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"This outstanding riesling shows splendid fruit purity and poise; the bouquet shows apricot, lemon/lime peel, rock melon and Gala apple notes, leading to a wonderfully concentrated palate that’s finely textured and beautifully flowing. It’s delightfully enhanced by subtle sweetness and bright acidity, finishing impressively long and harmonious. Style: Medium-dry. Certified organic. At its best: now to 2029."

4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2018 Vintage)
"As a medium style of Riesling for drinking young, the 2018 vintage is hard to beat, especially at the price. Hand-picked at Waipara, it is bright, light yellow/green, with a slightly honeyed fragrance. Medium-bodied, it has concentrated, ripe, peachy, gently spicy flavours, gentle sweetness (34 grams/litre of residual sugar), finely balanced acidity, and a rich, long finish. A top buy. Certified organic."
93/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review, March 2019 (2018 Vintage)
"Lifted aromas of ripe apple and flowers that are joined by ripe apricot on the palate. A beautifully balanced wine that’s moderately sweet but the sweetness is restrained by ripe acidity to give a medium-dry finish."
