Crafted entirely from top quality Central Otago Pinot Noir grapes, Terra Sancta take the production of Rosé very seriously and it shows, the proof is in the bottle.
Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"Terra Sancta’s expertise in Rosé shines forth in this Special Release. Both beautiful and serious, it demonstrates what can be created when superb quality Pinot Noir fruit from old vines is farmed, picked, and vinified with the intention of making a truly special, age worthy Rosé. Beautifully layered and perfumed, the fragrance is highly floral with honeysuckle and orange blossom, along with a touch of hazelnut. The palate is extraordinarily nuanced, with a rich, textured mouthfeel due to both wild barrel fermentation and 17 months in seasoned oak. Plush and vibrant, subtle yet powerful, its flavours are of quince, baked pear, custard and honey, along with almond, hazelnut and a touch of minerality. A Rosé possessing great energy, its power continues until the end, leaving a lasting impression. If you have the chance to try this at least once in your life – seize the day! Bottled under cork with purple wax."
5 Stars Michael Cooper (2022 Vintage)
"This unusually complex wine is New Zealand's highest-priced rosé to date. The 2022 vintage is rare – only 556 bottles were made. Estate-grown in Central Otago, it was hand-picked from vines planted at Bannockburn in 1991 and 1995, and fermented and lees-aged for 17 months in old French oak puncheons. Pale orange, it is weighty and savoury, with fresh peach, apricot, strawberry and spice flavours, showing unusual complexity, balanced acidity, and a fully dry, very long finish. A thought-provoking wine, it's drinking superbly now."

5 Stars & 96/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2021 Vintage)
"Seductively smooth-textured wine in a bone-dry style with subtle floral and cherry/berry flavours, vanilla bean, mixed spice and a suggestion of saline/mineral character. Attractive wine with power and complexity."
