Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"From Lola's Block, a tiny block of Pinot Gris grown amongst some of the very best Pinot Noir vines in New Zealand – on Terra Sancta Estate on Felton Road, Bannockburn. This is a Pinot Gris crafted with exacting standards and a “hands off” approach, using natural fermentation in neutral oak puncheons, in order to best express the qualities of the place from which it is from. Very food friendly due to its concentration, texture and complexity.
Straw in colour, it has a vibrant, layered nose of white flowers, jasmine and honeysuckle. Balanced and textural, it possesses pear, honey, quince and white pepper on the palate and has a clean, long finish with hallmark texture and a hint of spice."
4 Stars Michael Cooper (2019 Vintage)
"The vigorous, light lemon/green 2019 vintage is fresh and full-bodied, with youthful lemon, apple and lychee flavours, showing a distinct touch of complexity, and a crisp, dryish finish. Best drinking mid-2021+.

5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, June 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"It’s gorgeously elegant and inviting on the nose showing poached pear, spiced peach, mango and subtle oatmeal characters. The palate displays excellent concentration and expansive mouthfeel, wonderfully complemented by rich texture and refreshing acidity. It’s splendidly harmonious and long on the finish. At its best: now to 2023."
