Winery notes (2016 Vintage)
"Named after the august ratbag on the label, Jackson Barry ranged the area telling yarns and seeking fame and fortune. The hallmarks of Jackson’s Block are perfume, elegance, and balance. The perfume is that of violets and the wild thyme of the estate. The flavors are red berries and the length and balance are made complete by elegant, silky tannins."
5 Stars & 97/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2016 Vintage)
"From a mature Bannockburn vineyard with a track record. Aromatic pinot noir with dark cherry, violet, plum, thyme, anise and spicy oak flavours. Concentrated wine without any hint of being over-extracted. Deliciously accessible but with cellaring potential."
5 Stars Michael Cooper (2016 Vintage)
"The impressive 2016 vintage was matured in French oak barriques (20 per cent new). Deep ruby, it is fragrant, mouthfilling and generous, with youthful cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent ripeness, depth, complexity and harmony. Already delicious, it should break into full stride 2020+."
