Winery notes (2017 Vintage)
"This wine has gorgeous lifted aromas of jasmine, fresh lemon, and ripe Kaffir lime follow through on to the palate. Flavours of fresh lime juice, lemon sorbet and ripe grapefruit with hints of floral spice are balanced by a fine backbone of ripe acidity. This Riesling is a dry style which has excellent fruit weight and concentration to balance the lingering mineral acid structure. This wine is finely structured with great length of flavour."
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, December 2019 (2017 Vintage)
"Offering terrific precision and clarity, the wine shows delicate aromas of fresh apple, lemon peel and lime sorbet on the nose, leading to a brilliantly focused palate that's bright and persistent. It's exquisitely composed and styled with classic structure, ensuring its gracious development. Certified organic. Style: Dry. At its best: 2021 to 2030."
94/100 Nick Stock, JamesSuckling.com (2017 Vintage)
"Very attractive lime and lemon-pith aromas here. Scintillatingly pure and fragrant and very subtly flinty, too. The palate has a long and chiseled core of limes with neat and seamless, pitch-perfect acidity giving length and drive."
94/100 Cameron Douglas MS, November 2019 (2017 Vintage)
"Immediately engaging bouquet of Riesling with intense, precise and pure fruit aromas of citrus showing lime and lemon, some orange peel then apple and white blossom. Equally pure and precise on the palate, dry and with flavours that mirror the nose. Crisp and tense with plenty of acidity, developing complexity and core of fruit. Long finish, a great aperitif wine for Summer. Lovely drinking now, but will continue to age and offer great drinking from today and through 2025+. By the way the ‘D’ refers to this wine as a dry style."

5 Stars & 18.5+/20 (94) Raymond Chan, June 2017 (2016 Vintage)
"Brilliant pale straw colour with slight green hues, very pale edged. The nose is very elegant and refined with very good depth and intensity of pure lime fruit entwined with white florals a a subtle layering of thirst-quenching savoury minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is taut and tightly concentrated with flavours of lime fruit, white florals and savoury minerals. The mouthfeel is thirst-quenchingly dry with crisp, racy acidity, and the wine has fine fruit extract providing a refined line. Flavours of apples emerge and carry with the limes and minerals to a long, elegantly proportioned finish. This is a refined, taut, mouthwatering dry Riesling with lime, floral, apple and savoury mineral flavours and fine fruit extraction. Serve as an aperitif and with shellfish over the next 4-5 years. Fruit from the TWR ‘Home Block’, vines planted in 1979, hand-picked and hand-sorted, a portion WBP, and fermented in stainless-steel to 12.4% alc., 3.3 g/L RS, TA 6.8 g/L and pH 3.01. Certified BioGro organic. 781 cases made."
94/100 Mike Bennie, The Wine Front, June 2018 (2016 Vintage)
"Lovely perfume shows green apple, lime, green herbs, whiff of mint, orange juice, blackcurrant. Even a touch of really nice slate-mineral character. Flinty and racy to taste, brisk juiciness, green apple crunch. Pristine, precise and pretty."
93/100 Jamie Goode, December 2017 (2016 Vintage)
"Planted in 1979, so these are oldest vines in Marlborough. ‘At that stage hardly anyone planted on rootstock,’ says Anna Flowerday, ‘but here they did, and this has been our benefit.’ Lovely, linear, dry wine where the acid is really nicely integrated. It’s bone dry but there’s some fresh, with pure citrus fruit and a hint of honey. Lovely, intricate finish."
