Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"Deep, dark magenta, Estate Vineyards Syrah ’19 has an incredibly inviting fragrance of raspberry syrup, black cherry, plum and anise. Rich ripe fruit jumps out on the palate; a black-forest banquet of boysenberry, turkish delight, lavender and nutmeg, with dark cocoa on the finish. The bright modern fruit expression of Estate Vineyards Syrah ’19 is balanced by savoury spice and supple ripe tannin. Fantastic drink-now wine, super digestible."

4 Stars Michael Cooper (2018 Vintage)
"Enjoyable young, this floral, bright-ruby red was grown in Hawke’s Bay and briefly barrel-aged. Slightly peppery aromas lead into a medium- to full-bodied wine (12.5% alc/vol) with vibrant berry, plum and spice flavours, gentle tannins and good freshness, harmony and depth."
91/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, November 2018 (2018 Vintage)
"It is wonderfully perfumed on the nose showing dark plum, blueberry, red cherry and floral characters with an elegant touch of pepper spice. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity together with beautifully rounded mouthfeel, leading to a lingering silky finish. Charming and delightfully attractive. At its best: now to 2023."
16+/20 Richard Hemming MW, JancisRobinson.com, February 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"Overripe blackberry fruit. Simple peppery palate with a touch of bitter olive character on the finish. Juicy and refreshing with a lovely light touch. Very gluggable."
