Spy Valley do plenty to build layers and layers of flavour and texture into their full bodied Pinot Gris and it works. Consistently this wine is a high achiever on the show and review circuit and in our opinion, always one of the best in its price bracket.
Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
"Aromas of poached pear and spiced cloves. The palate is full bodied with flavours of red apple and spice. Concentration of fruit shows through with a supple underlying structure that leaves the wine fresh and vibrant on the finish."
91/100 Cameron Douglas MS, March 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"Fragrant, lifted, floral and fruity bouquet with a touch of fruit spice and fine lees complexity. Flavours on the palate begin with a pear and baking spice combination then red apple and lees followed by a light stony mineral quality. Medium acidity with a fine smooth texture. Balanced, well made and ready to drink from day of purchase through 2026."

5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, July 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"Showing pristine fruit notes of fresh pear, red apple and apricot combined with lifted floral and subtle spice, the wine delivers succulent fruit intensity on the palate with beautifully rounded mouthfeel and silky texture, finishing long and refreshingly attractive. At its best: now to 2023."
