Serafino’s flagship Shiraz is bunch–thinned the best rows of fruit from their Willunga Sharktooth vineyard, named after the giant fossilised Megalodon tooth discovered there in the 1980s. This prehistoric ancestor of the Great White Shark measured some 25 metres in length.
The wine is red/black in colour, the nose displays quality cedar from the French oak, subtle vanilla from the American oak, Satsuma plum, green Peppercorn and hints of licorice. On the palate this powerful yet elegant Shiraz displays distinctive regional characters of dark chocolate, spicy red plum and mocha flavours complemented by mulberry, pepper and spice on a long textured finish.

"Dense inky black core with a dark red black hue. Intense liquorice, blackberry and dark chocolate aromas overlay subtlety toasted vanillin oak, some earth and spicy pepper nuances. Rich and hearty the full blown palate oozes with opulent black fruits, liquorice and blackberry sitting over a back drop of lightly toasted vanillin oak, some earthy dark chocolate and spicy pepper. Plush textural feel with well integrated velvety tannins. Superb power with a long lavish black fruit, toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper aftertaste."
