Winery notes (2015 Vintage)
"Sourced from the finest hillside vineyards in Larnage, Erôme and Gervans, our Crozes-Hermitage is a rendition of the historic part of Crozes-Hermitage, when the appellation covered very few flatlands. We have been making Crozes-Hermitage since 2009. The 2015 is undoubtedly the best nature has had the generosity to give us. When Syrah reaches this degree of density, it then enters whole new realms that enhance it. It is a varietal that copes with high levels of ripeness well. Perhaps this ability stems from its origins, in the hot, dry climes of the Middle East. Maybe this is part of its genetic make-up… Whatever the explanation, the 2015 exudes blackcurrant and herbs and offers up an extremely majestic, grand interpretation of Crozes-Hermitage. I must apologise now if we lack supplies of Crozes-Hermitage. Sometimes I have trouble meeting your requirements. The reason for this is because we want to restrict ourselves to the finest sources. A little more wine will be available in 2016 which was a slightly more prolific vintage. Until then, treat yourself to this 2015, a landmark vintage for the decade. Smoked bacon, blackberry, white pepper and incense. Bottled without filtering."

92/100 Robert Parker's The Wine Advocate (2015 Vintage)
"The 2015 Crozes Hermitage shows how good this vintage was for the Crozes appellation. It offers gorgeous notes of plum sauce, blackberry jam, crushed rocks, pepper and violets in a medium to full-bodied, fresh, focused, impeccably balanced style. I love its fruit and this rocking effort will drink nicely in its youth and keep through 2025."

93/100 Vinous, Josh Raynolds, April 2017 (2015 Vintage)
"Bright violet. Vibrant dark berry, violet and licorice aromas are complemented by suggestions of olive and woodsmoke. Palate-staining blackberry and bitter cherry flavours are joined by peppery spice and mineral qualities that build on the back half. Manages to be at once rich and energetic, carrying no excess fat. The very long, juicy finish is framed by harmonious tannins and leaves behind a sappy dark berry note."

92/100 James Suckling (2015 Vintage)
"An elegant, light and bright cassis and cherry-scented nose. The palate delivers a swathe of toasty spices with red plum flavour. Bright and tangy. Best from 2020.”

John Livingstone-Learmonth, drinkrhone.com (2015 Vintage)
"The nose has a coated and very ripe aroma of blackberry, cassis fruit with a hint of licorice and iodine. It’s pretty deep. The palate is jaunty, offers rolling black fruit with attractive freedom, ends on blueberry and oak, on the up. This is promising, with width and depth on the bouquet, and style along the palate. The juice is engaging, liberal."
