The Rivetto family wine business began in 1902 and is now in the hands of fourth generation Enrico Rivetto, whose winemaking philosophy is one of minimum intervention and maximum respect for the vineyard. No synthetic chemicals are used in the vineyards and the vine rows are planted with native grasses and legumes.

Situated between the villages of Serralunga and Sinio, under Enrico’s leadership, Rivetto has gone from strength to strength, producing elegant, supple and very drinkable examples of the best Piedmont has to offer.

Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"An extremely pleasing and drinkable wine, and although it has a high alcohol grade this never overpowers its fruity character. Its red colour has Bordeaux reflections and the slow trickle from the edge of the glass confirms its optimal concentration and good body. The palate is caressed by a smooth tannin content typical of the Nebbiolo grape and by a warm and enveloping flavour."

90/100 JamesSuckling.com (2020 Vintage)
"A little earthy on the nose, with aromas of sage, dried earth, bark and sour cherries. Medium-bodied with easy tannins and crunchy acidity. From organically/biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification. Drink now. Screw cap."

90/100 Treve Ring, gismondionwine.com, March 2021 (2019 Vintage)
"Youthful, energetic, travelled Enrico Rivetto farms his family's estate with a philosophy beyond biodynamics, and towards complete biodiversity. This nebbiolo, tipped with 5 percent barbera, comes from a west facing vineyard planted 340-400m on clay and limestone at the top of Lirano Hill, between Sinio and Serralunga d’Alba. Native fermented in stainless. Lively, tight, and bright, with wild raspberry, cherry on a brisk, slender palate, finishing with refreshing astringency. Very much in youth, this will continue to relax and unfold with time in the bottle."

91/100 Campbell Mattinson, The Wine Front, March 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"It’s firm and relatively rich, in nebbiolo terms, with developed fruit/leather flavours and a gently resiny veneer. Fresh and developed at once, with both decent mouthfeel and push through the finish. Tannin here, particularly given air, works well. It’s good without being compelling but at $40-ish it’s a pretty attractive offering."
