Trophy for Champion Sauvignon Blanc – Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition 2023
Gold Medal – Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition 2023
Gold Medal – New Zealand International Wine Show 2023

Rapaura Springs Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is a real crowd pleaser, loved for its succulent flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruit and citrus, with a mouth-watering finish.

Winery notes (2023 Vintage)
"The Sauvignon Blanc for this wine is grown in the Dillons Point and Wairau sub-regions, known for expressive aromatics and ripe fruit flavour. We believe these sites grow the best Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough. Our winery is the only facility in this sub-region, meaning our grapes are immediately pressed after harvest, minimising skin contact. This allows us to capture all the expressive aromatics and fruit flavour, without bitter phenolics. After pressing, the juice was settled and then cool fermented in stainless steel to retain the vibrant flavours and aromas. We use a variety of yeast strains to provide palate weight and complexity."

5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"It’s gorgeously aromatic and instantly appealing on the nose with kiwifruit, crunchy apple, rockmelon and lemon peel aromas, followed by an intensely flavoursome palate that’s juicy and lively. Upfront and pristine with loads of delicious flavours. At its best: now to 2026."

Top Value & 94/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review, October 2023 (2023 Vintage)
"Tangy, refreshing sauvignon with passionfruit, guava, gooseberry, nectarine and green apple flavours supported by bright, punchy acidity that drives a lingering finish. Smooth-textured wine in a truly dry style."

Reviews for the 2022 vintage below…

Rated Excellent & 93/100 Cameron Douglas MS, September 2022 (2022 Vintage)
"Pungent, fresh, classic and very enticing bouquet filled with scents of fresh herbs and pink grapefruit, tropical fruits and red apple. On the palate is a wine of equal intensity with a core of fruit showcasing flavours of apple and lemon, white fleshed tropical fruits, nettles and fresh green herbs. Acidity is as powerful as the fruit and with a satin texture this is a wine of clarity, purity and charm. Best drinking from late 2022 through 2025."

96/100 NWWA, Judges Comments (2022 Vintage)
"This consistently outstanding Sauvignon has featured regularly in the Top 50 over the years. And this year’s rendition is another cracker, winning the best-in-class Champion honour. Powerfully expressed with passionfruit, kaffir lime, sweet basil and kiwifruit flavours with excellent fruit intensity and vibrancy, making it a delicious partner to grilled seafoods."

4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper, July 2023 (2022 Vintage)
"Offering excellent value, the 2022 vintage was grown in the Wairau Valley, including at Dillons Point. Light lemon/green, it is highly aromatic and full-bodied, with concentrated, tropical fruit flavours, a herbal undercurrent, and a fresh, crisp finish. A strongly varietal wine, it's full of youthful impact."
