The Rapaura Springs Reserve Sauvignon Blanc is one of our favourite Marlborough Sauvignon blanc labels that shines on the show circuit with a multitude of gold medals for previous vintages.
5 Stars & 95/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, June 2019 (2019 Vintage)
"A splendid rendition of the variety; the intensely aromatic bouquet shows passionfruit, kaffir lime, feijoa and green rockmelon characters, leading to a concentrated palate that offers fabulous fruit purity and vibrancy. The wine is gorgeously fruited and youthfully charming, packed with delicious flavours, finishing impressively long and zesty. At its best: now to 2022."

"Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, near colourless on the rim. The nose is soft and solidly packed with well-concentrated and deep aromas of pungent passionfruit entwined with tropical fruits, fresh and dark herbs and fragrant floral elements. The aromatics are harmoniously integrated and grow in depth and breadth in the glass. Dry to taste and medium full-bodied, the palate is rich and fulsome with broad, mouthfilling flavours of pungent passionfruit, tropical fruits and dark herbs. The fruit has weight an presence on the palate, forming a rounded, deep heart, with fine, lacy acidity underlining the fruit. The wine flows smoothly to an aromatic, near ethereal finish. This is a rich and mouthfilling Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit, tropical fruit and herb flavours with plenty of presence and a smooth-flowing palate. Serve with Mediterranean and Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Wairau Valley, Awatere Valley, Dillons Point and Waihopai, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 2.9 g/L RS."

"Exotic notes of honeysuckle, lanolin and spice pave the way for succulent peach, mango and mandarin orange flavours. Impressively complex, with a supple texture and a long, expressive finish. Drink now."
4 Stars Michael Cooper (2018 Vintage)
"Offering fine value, the 2018 vintage was grown in the Wairau Valley. Light lemon/green, it is weighty, with ripe passionfruit/lime aromas and flavours. A fleshy, dry style (2.9 grams/litre of residual sugar) with balanced acidity, it's already drinking well."
