Winery Notes (2015 Vintage)
"Luminous straw yellow. Immediately complex aromatics: yellow plum, ripe quince, borage honey, polenta/milled corn, and an enlivening iodine/seashore note. With air, richer and broader, while remaining multifaceted. Also a clean, wet copper coin character. Engaging and seductive.
On the palate, opulent and gregarious, lush but detailed, flattering, but in a considered way. Yellow plum and honey again, acacia this time. Also a buttery, puff pastry/croissant character. Luxurious, indulgent, but sage, this is the gnostic siren in our range of wines."

5 Stars & 95/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2015 Vintage)
"Rich, textural wine with an almost golden hue. A full-bodied and impressively weighty white with honey, pear, quince, vanilla and spicy oak flavours. A distinctive and very complex wine, with a glycerol-like viscosity and very lengthy finish. Very different. A pleasure to taste."

5 Stars Michael Cooper (2015 Vintage)
"The distinctly Alsace-like 2015 vintage was hand-picked at Rapaura, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 10 months in French oak barriques (10 per cent new). Bottled unfined and unfiltered, it is pale gold, with a gently honeyed bouquet. Weighty (14.5 per cent alcohol), it is fleshy, peachy, spicy and – again – vaguely honeyed on the palate, with complexity, a slightly oily richness and a smooth, very harmonious finish. Delicious drinking now onwards."

92/100 Cameron Douglas MS, April 2018 (2015 Vintage)
"Floral, ripe and fruity with a mix of fresh baked white fleshed fruits – pear skin and apple, some Asian pear and wild flowers. Very engaging and aromatic. Dry, spicy and fruity on the palate with a ginger yeasty quality, white fleshed fruit flavours and a long mineral finish. Balanced and well made. Drink now and through 2022."

5 Stars & 18.5/20 Raymond Chan, April 2018 (2015 Vintage)
"Bright, golden-hued yellow colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is softly full and densely packed with ripe fruit aromas of yellow stonefruits entwined with savoury honey, lifted yellow florals, unfolding nutty lees complexities and some mineral detail. Dryish to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate is full and rounded with broad and mouthfilling flavours of ripe yellow stonefruits melded with savoury honied notes, lifted yellow florals, and a complexing layer of nuts and minersls. The mouthfeel is plush and decadent with the up-front flavours forming a rounded heart. The fruit is underlined by soft textures with integrated acidity, and the flavours carry to a long, well-driven, softly rich finish. This is a rich and opulent, mouthfilling dryish Pinot Gris/Pinot Blanc blend with ripe stonefruit, honey and floral flavours with complexing nutty notes in the Alsace style. Serve with rich pork and veal dishes over the next 4 years. Hand-picked fruit, a blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc from the ‘Hutchison’ vineyard, Rapaura, indigenous yeast cool-fermented to 14.5% alc., the wine aged 10 months on lees in 10% new French oak barriques. 491 dozen made."

Jo Burzynska, Viva (2015 Vintage)
"A deeply impressive inaugural release from Pyramid Valley of a blend of pinots gris and blanc from the Hutchinson Family Vineyard. An opulently textured, intensely flavoured wine that layers rich baked quince and apple fruit with notes of acacia honey and nut, along with fragrant notes of blossom, spice, vanilla and a lift of lemon zest."
