Winery notes (2015 Vintage)
"Embracing the warm 2015 vintage completely, we celebrated stepping in to this harvest with the most beautiful fruit. Perfect flowering, wonderful summer weather conditions allowed for full production off our tiny 2.2 hectare vineyards. Warmer vintages allow for the vine to move further into our soils looking for water, penetrating deep into the limestone at a length of over 5 meters deep. All home wines have moved into a new dimension of flavour and tension solely due to the contribution of the limestone soils we grow on. The wines have years of cellaring potential, are showing their terroir at a vine age of 15 years very different to the earlier years of Pyramid Valley."

95/100 Jamie Goode's Wine Anorak (2015 Vintage)
"Beautiful, haunting aromatics with floral sweet cherries and plums. Really expressive with a tiny bit of sweet lift. The palate is elegant, supple and quite pure with real detail and lovely fine-grained tannins. Sweetly fruited, floral and a bit edgy, with a fresh finish. Some sour cherry, too. Lovely."

93/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2015 Vintage)
"Unusual and distinctive pinot noir with cherry, floral, violet, mineral, rhubarb and fresh herb flavours. The wine has a crisp acid backbone and reasonably soft tannins. An elegant, supple pinot with underlying power and a lengthy finish. Should develop well."

5 Stars & 19.0-/20 Raymond Chan, June 2017 (2015 Vintage)
"Even ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, lighter on the rim. This is very elegant and tightly bound with refined and ethereal aromas of red cherry fruit entwined with red florals and subtle notes of fresh herbs. This is seamlessly integrated on the nose, and an expression of beauty and florality. Medium-bodied, the palate rich and lively, vibrant aromatic red cherry and berry fruits entwined with an array of red florals, with subtle herb notes. The fruit forms a refined core and line with supple, fine-grained extraction and textures. The mouthfeel features plenty of energy from the acidity, and the wine has drive and linearity, flowing along to a ling and sustained, elegant and fragrant finish. This is an elegant, refined, rich and lively red cherry and floral fruited Pinot Noir with supple and fine-grained tannins and a fresh mouthfeel. Serve with tuna and salmon, poultry and pork over the next 5-6+ years. From a very steep north-facing slope, 15% clay and 5-10% active lime. Hand-destemmed and partially foot-crushed, indigenous yeast fermented to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 12 months in 10% French oak. 3,198 bottles made."
