Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"Run 245 was the pastural tenure number given to the land at Pisa in 1866. Since that time it has rewarded those who have walked it and represents the unique expression of Central Otago.
Select parcels from across the region were chosen for this wine that have a unique expression, and when combined, truly reflect the essence of the terrior. This wine has matured in French Oak. Displaying vibrant red fruits and elegant tannins, pairs well with lamb and other red meats."
18.5+/20 (94/100) Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Wine Reviews, June 2021 (2019 Vintage)
"Bright, ruby-red with good transparency, lighter edged. The nose is gently full and voluminous, filled the glass with dark cherries and blackberries, earth, interweave dried thyme, black pepper. The palate is medium-bodied, elegantly presented, aromas of dark cherries, blackberries are fragrant, intermix a hint of dark plums, thyme meadow, black pepper, unfolding black tea fragrance, subtle earthy savouriness. Supple, powdery tannin lightly coated the palate; silky thread knitted with lacy acidity, elegantly flow to a sustained pleasing finish. This is an elegant Pinot Noir with dark fruit, earth and silky tannin structure, over delivered on all levels. Match with wagyu bresaola and smoked duck breast over the next 5 years. Aged 9 months in 100% French oak barriques, 14% alc."
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2019 Vintage)
"Offering excellent value, the 2019 vintage was matured for nine months in French oak barriques. Deep ruby, it is mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with good concentration of youthful, ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, savoury notes adding complexity, and supple, finely balanced tannins. Well worth cellaring to 2022+."

5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, March 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"Gorgeously fruited and elegantly expressed, the bouquet shows dark plum, spiced cherry, thyme, toasted nut and olive characters. The palate displays lovely weight and rounded mouthfeel, together with fine texture and supple tannins, finishing long and soothing. At its best: now to 2023."
94/100 Cameron Douglas MS, May 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"A complex bouquet loaded with aromas of dried thyme and red cherry; schist, crushed stones and raspberry; toasty vanilla scented oak and French barrel. On the palate – delicious; savoury, fruity, focused and textured. Flavours of fruits reflect the nose, firm youthful tannins and medium+ acidity accentuate the savoury, mineral aspects – all leading to a complex and lengthy finish. Very youthful still with plenty of tension and nervousness. Decant for service or better still – wait till 2022 then enjoy through till 2028."
4 Stars & Best Buy Cuisine Pinot Noir Tasting, May 2020 (2018 Vintage)
"Cranberry, raspberry and redcurrant spice and savouriness on the nose leading into the palate with a bright, juicy, vibrant red-fruit flavour base that after a few sips ascends into opulence. A charming style made to be very much enjoyed."
