Winery notes (2022 Vintage)
Fresh and vibrant green apple, elderflower and orange blossom aromatics combine with a focused palate featuring fresh ginger and ripe lime characters. A delicate and textural dry Riesling with fine acidity.
Healthy soil moisture and warm sunshine provided strong shoot growth followed by a good flowering and fruit set. The hot, dry growing conditions through summer and early autumn ensured the resulting crop was balanced, ripe and ready for an early start to harvest. Organically certified and hand harvested from Peregrine Bendigo Estate (18%) and Pisa (82%), Central Otago."
93/100 David Walker Bell, WineFolio.co.nz, February 2024 (2022 Vintage)
"A translucent golden yellow in the glass. Vibrantly perfumed with lemon zest, green apple, grapefruit, pear drops and honeysuckle. A light spritz on the tongue into the palate – where a sense of lemon sherbert and lime curd develops, helped a briney acidity carrying the waves of pure fruit flavours through. Quite clean, pure and intense, but by no means simple. A little minerality emerges, and towards the finish there is a waxy texture adding more complexity. The finish is very long, dry and lip-smacking."
