Although Australian Sémillon may be unfashionable in some quarters it has a small but strong following here. We are always tempting our customers to try something a little different and this is a wine well worth discovering. From the tropical, apricot flavours through to the beewax/lanolin notes this is very approachable even as a young wine.
Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"This single vineyard Semillon is from our Watervale vineyard in the Clare Valley. Subtle and zesty lemon floral hints are typical of this vineyard and lend to a wonderful evolution of rich and complex toasty and honeyed characters."
93/100 Mike Bennie, The Wine Front, April 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"Lemongrass, ginger, lemony-lime characters in the perfume. Similar to taste but with a talc-like pucker to texture and some light nutty characters in the mix too. Good length, bristling acidity keeping things very perky and fresh. A summery number with a serious side."

"Honeysukle and beeswax delights the senses and it's fabulously textured with citrus and honey balanced by fresh stonefruit and savoury earth notes."
