Gold Medal – Mundus Vini 2016
A blend of Cannonou, Carignano and Bovale Sardo in Sardinia, the grapes are sourced from vineyards right across the island. The Nuraghi region from which the grapes are grown, are famous for their conical stone towers that dot the Sardinian landscape. They were built between 1900 BC and 730 BC, and are so culturally representative of this period that it has come to be known as the Nuragic Age. The wine itself shows a heady mixture of ripe red and black fruits with a pinch of spice.
