Winery Notes (2022 Vintage)
"Named after Tim and Judy’s daughter Rosie, the block sits on a slightly higher elevation to the Home Block just 1km away. This Chardonnay is a sibling to what is deemed the keystone in our portfolio – Neudorf Home Block Moutere Chardonnay.
A wine that naturally exudes what we call “Moutereness” – a complex combination of restrained and elegant savoury notes bound together by something that reminds us of a lazy, hazy summer evening.
A modern, vibrant and sophisticated Chardonnay. Exceptionally integrated and dynamic. Elegant oak frames the wine – this harmony of barrel, fruit and flint is reassuringly familiar. The wine tapers with considered structure and chalky texture. A quietly confident chardonnay."

"This has a softness and easy appeal. Sweet citrus meets red apple joins nougat, ginger lemon honey tea and cashew. Lots of fragrance, good, juicy and slick texture with a pleasing, talc-like mineral finish and great extension of flavour. Sits softly in the palate, a richer, but not too rich feel to the wine, with generosity of everything a byword in this description. It feels super pleasing and full of character. Nice one."

"I’m doing the jazz-hands of joy over the shiny new Rosie’s Block Moutere Chardonnay by Neudorf Vineyards. It’s sublimely structured, saturated with clean, peach & citrus tones, soft toasty, nutty notes and has soothing, creamy textures and an elegantly balanced finish. It will only become more delicious with another 4-5 years in the cellar if you’re disciplined enough, but it’s drinking beautifully now. Complete class."

"Substantial ripe nose and then the drawstrings are pulled on a taut level of acidity and crispness. Round texture. Who could fail to like this?"

Rated Outstanding & 95/100 Cameron Douglas MS, September 2022 (2021 Vintage)
"Fabulous bouquet, complex and textured with shape and form. Aromas and flavours of wild peaches, gun flint and grapefruit flesh. The combination of mineral stony soils and spices from barrel layer in texture and complexity accentuated by a classic Nelson acid line. Satin smooth with layers of contrast from fine tannins, acidity, core white fleshed fruits laced with citrus, and texture. Best drinking from later in 2023 through 2027+."
93/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review (2021 Vintage)
"From a highly rated vineyard and a top vintage. Intense, ripe chardonnay with bright citrus/grapefruit, nectarine, oyster shell and spicy oak flavours. Gently luscious wine with a perfect balance of fruit sweetness and mouth-watering acidity"
