Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"This is a stylish, perfectly balanced Chardonnay with freshness and seamlessly integrated oak. The grapes from which this wine was made were hand picked, whole bunch pressed and fermented in new and seasoned French barrels using indigenous yeasts from our winery and vineyards. The wine shows citrus and stonefruit characters with flint and toasted nuts in support. The palate is rich with minerality and natural acidity resulting in perfect balance. Drink now or cellar until 2025."
5 Stars & Top 10 Cuisine Chardonnay Tasting, October 2020 (2019 Vintage)
"A masterful example of the winemaker harnessing and exemplifying cooler-climate fruit. Nectarine stone and flesh, citrus with lemon curd and lime pith altogether with subtle, brown demerara-sugar notes. A cracking Marlborough chardonnay that will be particularly good over the summer months."

5 Stars & 95/100 Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review, April 2018 (2016 Vintage)
"Very stylish Marlborough chardonnay with apple, nectarine, grapefruit, nutty oak and a tantalising hint of struck flint/mineral character. An elegant, medium-bodied wine with a lingering finish."
5 Stars & 94/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2017 (2016 Vintage)
"This is stylish and delectable at the same time, showing inviting aromas of nectarine, rockmelon, vanilla and cedar on the nose with a hint of flinty complexity. The palate is concentrated and beautifully weighted, and delivers pristine fruit flavours together with elegantly infused oak nuances, making the wine instantly appealing. At its best: now to 2020."
4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2016 Vintage)
"Priced sharply, the ageworthy 2016 vintage was estate-grown and hand-picked at three sites, and fermented and matured in French oak barriques (30 per cent new). Still youthful, it is very fresh and lively, with citrusy, biscuity, mealy aromas and flavours, showing excellent delicacy and complexity. Fragrant and creamy-textured, it should be at its best 2020+."
NZIWS 2017 (2016 Vintage)
"Enchanting white blossom, grilled stonefruit and vanilla pod fragrance with citrus notes infusing creamy vanillin oak, toasted nut and pineapple bread flavours. Long and complex.
Sue Courtney, wineoftheweek.com, November 2017 (2016 Vintage)
"A very inviting bouquet of butterscotch and caramel with wafts of freshly baked golden crunch biscuits. Smooth flowing across the creamy palate with bold flavours of stonefruit, caramel and toasty oak, underlying savoury malty notes and a long generous and powerful finish tinged with cedar and accents of citrus."
Highly Recommended & 93/100 Decanter UK, February 2018 (2016 Vintage)
"Intense and concentrated, this has vivacious nutty and flinty tones giving a savoury, almost wild element. Fresh green herbs and floral purity define the palate; this is the fresh modern style that Marlborough should be showcasing."
