"Moss Wood 2017 Amy’s is more precocious than usual and it seems to have realised that it is being released at the same time as the 2015 Estate Cabernet and so it has to distract you from opening any bottles of the Grand Vin by being more come hither than of late. Instead of being a mini-Moss Wood with the accompanying tannin and grunt, Amy’s carries out the job of being a rousing support band, knocking out crowd-pleasing, forward-drinking flavours. It effortlessly imprints the Moss Wood brand on your wine brain such that, one day, when you find yourself confronted with a list of mature MR Cabs, the chances are Amy’s will be there, at the back of your brain, urging you to buy a smart bottle of its portfolio partner. It is the ultimate vinous teamwork working in perfect harmony."

"79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 7% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot all from the Glenmmore Vineyard. No new oak. Strong release. Leafiness, black and mulberry fruit, the palate both ripe but with a lift of mint too, the palate structured, bone dry, angular but regal. Classy, dry, almost southern Margs with its leafiness but well put together. This is the entry-level wine? Well played. Best drinking: Now to fifteen years."
92/100 Cameron Douglas MS, January 2019 (2017 Vintage)
"Lovely bouquet, quite calm. Aromas of violets and dark cherry, blackberry and sweet olive, some plum and milk chocolate. Fresh, fruity, youthful and dry on the palate with flavours reflective of the nose, fine to firm tannins and equalising acidity. Balanced and well made. Can continue to cellar for a while with best drinking from now and through 2026."
92/100 Ray Jordan, The West Australian (2017 Vintage)
"A blend of cabernet merlot malbec and petit verdot. It’s still so young but showing excellent fruit concentration. Lush and sweet with juicy fruitiness as you might expect from such a recent vintage. A wine that you can tuck into over the next few years."
4 Stars & 18.0-/20 Raymond Chan, October 2018 (2017 Vintage)
"Dark, deep, ruby-red colour with slight purple hues. The nose is elegant in presentation with a tight, fine core of pure blackcurrant fruit, revealing cassis liqueur, herb and blackberry notes and some nutty oak. The aromatics are softly fresh and show Cabernet Sauvignon varietal clarity. Medium-full bodied, the palate has vibrant and lively flavours of blackcurrant fruit expressed with vigour, clarity and definition, unfolding cassis, herb and blackberry elements, and subtle nutty oak. The fruit forms an elegantly concentrated core and is supported by fine-grained tannin structure and grip with balanced acidity. The wine carries with good linearity to a long, taut finish. This is a vibrant, lively and finely concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon blend with fine structure and vitality. Match with roast lamb and semi-hard cheeses over the next 5-6+ years. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot from the ‘Glenmore’ vineyard, fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 16 months in French oak."
