50% Fiano & 50% Malvasia
The Fiano grape has been cultivated in southern Italy for over 2000 years and is believed to have been the grape behind the ancient Roman wine Apianum. Beyond its rich flavours, lush textures and intense honeyed aroma Fiano is noted viticulturally for the relatively low yields it produces. Malvasia is from an ancient family of grapes believed to be of Greek origin, the Malvasia family has also been commercially important to the Mediterranean for more than 2000 years and in this case adds freshness with notes of orange peel and dried fruits. This modern, stainless steel fermented blend has wonderful freshness and is a must with freshly grilled octopus and summer seafood
Sale stands for salt, and indeed, the salty breeze of the sea is noticeable in this wine. Bright straw yellow with a fresh, lively fragrance of citrus, acacia flowers and elderberry. The fresh acidity makes the wine very refreshing with a slightly salty note. This wine fits perfectly with Italian antipasti.
