"Red and black fruit, almond, a little creamy and spicy, mint and floral perfume. Medium-bodied, rounded and fleshy, but fresh, tannin has has a gentle graininess, kind of succulent, but present and quite firm. Strawberry, a stony feel to it, and good length. Really lovely expression of Barolo. It carries the structure of 2019 to good effect, and should age beautifully."

"Precise and cohesive, it shows notes of flowers and small red fruits. The splendid sensorial matrix offers nuances of currants, raspberries, cherries, cedar pieces and pomegranate. A very subtle presence of citrus dominates the secondary scene enriching the matrix. Full body, velvety tannins of very fine grain and a sunny and intense finish that closes leaving a remarkable fruity aftertasting on the palate. Better from 2025."

"The 2019 Barolo is a very serious wine. Readers looking for an easygoing, entry-level Barolo will not find that here. Bright and sizzling with tannin, the 2019 is going to need at least a few years to fully come together. Crushed rocks, red/purplish fruit and dried flowers emerge with some coaxing, but this is really a wine for the cellar. It is also probably the most reticent straight Barolo I tasted for this report."
