Gold Medal & 95/100 – New World Wine Awards 2019
Winery notes (2019 Vintage)
"The wine is pale lemon in colour, with vibrant tropical fruit aromas of passionfruit and lychees. Layered beneath there are hints of gooseberry, citrus and dried herbs. The palate is generous, yet remains fresh and lively, with a satisfying crisp finish. Favourable vintage conditions have added richness and texture to the wine, while still retaining its classic zesty freshness."
4 Stars Michael Cooper (2019 Vintage)
"Looking good for the summer of 2019-20, the 2019 vintage is full-bodied and freshly scented, with good intensity of ripely herbaceous flavours, crisp, dry and punchy."
Yvonne Lorkin, August 2019 (2019 Vintage)
"This is a juicy, lemony lick around the chops for anyone partial to punchy, tropical tastiness in their sauvignon. Made by the team at Pegasus Bay, they’ve captured the Southern love in a classic, passionfruity, punch in the glass. Crisp, uncomplicated, easy to sip sauvignon that’ll please the crowds."
89/100 Cameron Douglas MS, September 2019 (2019 Vintage)
"Fleshy, fruity and varietal bouquet of SB – aromas and flavours of peaches and sweet grapefruit, some pineapple and mango, quite floral too with a frangipani suggestion then some classic herbs moments. Fresh, crisp and lush with plenty of acidity and a core of fruit and vibrant texture. Drinking well now and through 2022."
