Incredibly delicious and an absolute treat.

Winery notes (2014 Vintage)
"Late season rain after a warm summer produced the perfect amount of noble botrytis to give this wine extra concentration. This, plus a short period of maturation on its natural yeast deposit has enhanced mouth feel and complexity. The generous aromas and flavours suggest ripe apricots, yellow fleshed peaches, pears and spice. While rich and unctuous in the mouth, it has a lively spine of minerality and acid so that it is fresh and clean throughout the palate. There is a hint of toffee and crushed ginger in the finish that help draw out the lingering flavours of the fruit."

91/100 Gary Walsh, The Wine Front, June 2018 (2014 Vintage)
"Walnut, some lift, very rich and sweet, into golden syrup and cumquat, dried pear and the like, layered with spice and richness. Savoury walnut and almost rancio bottle age flavour coming into play. It’s very interesting. Dessert wine mixed in with Pinot Gris, but anyway, an interesting thing and done well."

4 Stars Michael Cooper (2014 Vintage)
"Currently on sale, the 2014 vintage is gold/amber, with a strong botrytis influence. Full-bodied, with a fragrant bouquet of honey and spice, it is sweetish (76 grams/litre of residual sugar), with concentrated, apricot-like flavours, showing bottle-aged complexity. Full of personality, it's drinking well now."

4 Stars & 17.0/20 Raymond Chan, April 2018 (2014 Vintage)
"Deep orange-gold colour with some depth, a touch opaque, lighter on the rim. The bouquet is full and broad with up-front and voluminous aromas of ripe tropical fruit melded with orange marmalade, caramel and butterscotch, along with honey and bees-wax, and a layering of volatility. Sweet to taste and fullish bodied, the palate is soft and rounded with a deep and solid heart of ripe tropical fruits entwined with orange marmalade, honey, bees-wax and caramel, along with some volatile lift. The mouthfeel is lush with an underlying dense core, and the palate shows some alcoholic power. The acidity is soft and enhances the rounded mouthfeel. The decadent flavours carry to a fulsome finish. This is a soft and rounded Late Harvest Pinot Gris with strong botrytis flavours showing tropical fruits, marmalade and caramel along with some volatility. Match with steamed puddings, and caramel desserts over the next 3 years. Late-harvested Pinot Gris fruit with 50% botrytis infection fermented in seasoned oak to 14.0% alc. and 86 g/L RS, the wine aged 2 years on lees in barrel."
