The 2021 Lucy M Gamay Nuovo is one of the freshest reds yet from the legendary Adelaide Hills natural winemaker, Anton Van Klopper. The grapes come from Robert Surmann's 30 years old Gamay vines and are carbonically fermented for 5 days, after which they are aged in terra cotta eggs.
Gamay Nuovo – a bit of word play hinting at the style – it's Gamay Noir made in a Nouveau (early picked, light maceration, short maturation) style, but with a rustic Italian vibe if ever that was possible…. Bright, crunchy fruit, high acidity, nicely tart, spice, floral, slight spritz on the finish, serve this one chilled and watch it disappear! (NB: Definitely the most adventurous of Anton's 2021 wines – high acidity, some dissolved CO2 on the palate)
We provide a door to door delivery service nationwide. Delivery charges are calculated on a 12 bottle case or part there of.
