Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"The southern hairy-nose wombat is smaller than other wombats but is stocky, robust and the proud state emblem of South Australia. Like the might of the little wombat, Little Giant is crafted from premium regional South Australian fruit from established vineyards that deliver character and interest well above their size and weight.
Appears bright crimson red with deep purple hues. Showing a lifted perfumed nose of blackcurrant and mulberry fruit and followed by a chocolate oak and subtle spice character. The palate shows dark berry fruit flavours upfront with hints of nutmeg as well as subtle herb and red florals in the finish. Supple varietal tannins give classical framework and weight to the wine which finishes with integrated fruit and oak driving a long finish. Perfect with lamb shanks."

5 Stars & 93/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, December 2021 (2020 Vintage)
"Beautifully composed and delightfully expressed with cassis, sweet cherry, olive and roasted nut aromas, it's flavoursome in the mouth delivering excellent fruit purity and power. Well rounded and supple, finishing succulent and lingering. At its best: now to 2028."
90/100 Erin Larkin, James Halliday's Wine Companion (2020 Vintage)
"Bright, spicy and super vibrant, this casts off the density of Coonawarra-tannin-of-old, and brings a sumptuous, lip smacking array of flavours to the fore. For all the talk of barrier-breaking, this retains the classic Coonawarra mint, cassis and bramble, albeit in a very fine, slick way. Brilliant value here."
91/100 Regan Drew, vinonotebook.com, February 2022 (2020 Vintage)
"Cassia bark, cedar with plenty of cassis, eucalyptus and black cherry fruit. Earthier tones of leather and moss. Fruit profile is modern and bright, while the tannins are quintessentially Coonawarra: dense, chewy and puckering. Sitting on the heftier end of medium bodied, it’s a little raw and roguish but offering the right framework for cellaring for several years."
