Made purely from Chenin Blanc from its spiritual home in Vouvray, this Loire white is produced in the time honoured, refreshing, off dry style. There’s a lovely slap of tangy, natural sweetness in this apple-packed sensation. Summer flowers, ripe nectarine and homemade lemonade notes leap from the glass and it’s practically impossible to put down once you’ve had that first sip.
Since 1994, with passion and commitment, the Feray family has managed to preserve and beautify this castle to make it one of the remarkable historical sites of the Loire Valley. The vineyard, one of the oldest in Touraine, is today ranked among the most prestigious vineyards in the Loire Valley. The estate runs over 130 hectares across the hillside and valley.
Winery notes (2021 Vintage)
"La Croix de Maunay is a small parcel of vines in Reugny to the north east of Vouvray. Our wines embrace a long-standing commitment to unrivalled quantity, and reach beyond the ordinary for an uncompromising approach to the French 'joie de vivre'. This Chenin Blanc from the cool Vouvray region is true to character with classic notes of soft fig and crisp pear laced with hints of ginger and green apple. White peach and citrus flavours are drizzled with honey for a balanced wine with bright acidity and a long fresh finish."

4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2015 Vintage)
"This charming, medium-bodied wine (11.5% alc/vol) is from classic chenin blanc grapes grown in the Loire Valley. Attractively scented, it is a demi-sec (gently sweet) style, with strong, lively, citrusy, appley flavours, a hint of peaches, balanced acidity and loads of current-drinking appeal."
