Winery notes (2017 Vintage)
"A vibrant wine bursting with lemon and white peaches with a delicate coating of vanilla and a tingly white pepper bite. It provides a nice dry backbone yet is layered and creamy with soft acidity and nutty nuances. It is bright and fresh with great richness and texture from the wild ferment and provides a particularly long, harmonious finish."

5 Stars & 18.5/20 (93) Raymond Chan, July 2018 (2017 Vintage)
"Bright, light golden-yellow colour with straw-green hues, paler on the edge. The nose is softly full and up-front with positive aromas of ripe yellow stonefruits and hints of tropical fruit entwined with subtle notes of green stonefruits and fresh herbs, some mineral elements, unfolding fragrant florals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a rich, softly packed, dense core of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruit, with green stonefruits, herbs and lifted florals. This has richness and presence and the wine flows with good energy along a fine-textured phenolic line, with fresh, underlying acidity. The flavours carry to an elegant, lingering, but rich finish. This is a rich, up-front, well-concentrated dry Gruner Veltliner with stonefruit, tropical fruit, herbal and floral notes on a palate with presence and a fine-textured line. Match with poultry and pork over the next 2-3 years. Fruit from the ‘Anderson’ vineyard in the Brancott Valley, fermented in tank with 20% which was hand-picked, indigenous yeast fermented in seasoned French oak, to 12.83% alc. and 0.6 g/L RS, the barrel portion undergoing MLF."

4 ½ Stars Michael Cooper (2017 Vintage)
"Unfolding well, the distinctive 2017 vintage is a single-vineyard wine, hand-picked in the Brancott Valley and partly (20 per cent) fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak casks. Light lemon/green, it is fragrant, full-bodied and bone-dry (0.2 grams/litre of residual sugar), with good intensity of vibrant, peachy, citrusy, slightly spicy flavours, gentle biscuity notes, and a crisp, lingering finish. Drink now or cellar."

91/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, August 2018 (2017 Vintage)
"A beautifully styled gruner; the elegantly expressed bouquet shows white flesh nectarine, lemon peel, jasmine and subtle spice aromas, leading to a finely textured palate that is focused and vibrant. The wine offers lovely fruit purity and poise, backed by bright acidity, finishing linear and persistent. At its best: now to 2020."

88/100 Cameron Douglas MS, August 2018 (2017 Vintage)
"Varietal and quite aromatic with a mix of citrus, apple and classic radish/grassy/herbal-like aromas. Dry, tart, tense, varietal and youthful. Significant acidity with just enough fruit weight, spice and energy to show off the youth and potential for this wine to age a some – perhaps 2-3 years for true balance and a further 2-3 years for maturation. Decant for service with best drinking from 2020 through 2024."
