5 Stars Michael Cooper (2014 Vintage)
"The very classy 2014 vintage was grown in the Cornerstone Vineyard and matured for 20 months in oak casks (40 per cent new). It has bold, still purplish colour. A notably powerful, lush wine, it has dense, very ripe plum, blackcurrant and liquorice flavours, good tannin backbone, and a finely textured, very harmonious finish. Already delicious, it should be at its best for drinking 2021+".

5 Stars & 97/100 Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, September 2018 (2014 Vintage)
"A compelling rendition of the variety, the wine offers concentration, opulence and gratifying complexity. Gorgeous aromas of blackberry, Black Doris plum, game, cedar and cocoa characters with warm spice nuances. The palate is sumptuous and lavish, while remaining classically structured, delivering loads of delicious flavours and savoury undertones, backed by seamlessly woven fine tannins. From the Gimblett Gravels district. At its best: now to 2024".

5 Stars & 19.0+/20 (96) Raymond Chan, August 2018 (2014 Vintage)
"Very full, near impenetrable black-hued red, a little lighter on the edge. The nose is elegant in proportion but packed and concentrated with deep and dense aromas of ripe blackberry fruit, black plums and soft notes of dark raspberries, along with liquorice and spice, unfolding violet florals and iron-earth complexities. Full-bodied, the palate is rich and succulent with deep and concentrated exotic flavours of ripe blackberry fruit with boysenberries and dark raspberries, plums and spices. The fruit has excellent intensity and is balanced by considerable fine-grained, flowery tannin extraction with soft, integrated acidity. Flavours of spice, liquorice pepper and iron-earth unfold with violet florals, and carry to a long and sustained, textural finish. This is a very rich, ripe Syrah with black fruits, liquorices, spices, florals and iron-earth on a very well-structured palate. Serve with roast game meats and semi-hard cheeses over the next 8-10+ years. Fruit from the ‘Cornerstone’ vineyard, fully destemmed and indigenous yeast fermented to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 20 months in 40% new oak".
