Tikka, James's old winery cat, reincarnated as a dark, yet incredibly light and racy Shiraz Grenache blend. Ordinarily you'd think of a Shiraz and Grenache blend for being big and jammy, but not here. 85% Carbonic-maceration Shiraz and 15% Grenache, this one is bold and bright, and with an acidity that is quite profound (if not a little confusing or conflicting!) We've never seen anything like it. Bright, spicy, plummy. Insanely good!

Jauma ("Yaow-ma") are some of the earliest natural wines known to Australia and some of the first natural wines to ever make it to New Zealand. Winemaker James Erskine is based in South Australia where he and organic viticultural specialist Fiona Wood farm several vineyards together, often with a focus on old-vine, dry-grown bush vines. All of James's wines are organic, wild fermented, unadjusted, unfiltered, unfined (vegan) and with no added sulphites.

NB: All of James' wines, still or sparkling, are bottled under crown seal.

We provide a door to door delivery service nationwide. Delivery charges are calculated on a 12 bottle case or part there of.

Delivery charges are calculated during the checkout process. Please ensure you choose the correct delivery region. We will advise you if you have chosen the incorrect delivery region.

You may also choose to 'pick up' your order from our wine shop at 188 Durham Street South, Christchurch.

  • Great range of wines.You will find some not so common grape varieties are available here. They appear to be competitively priced. Service was excellent. The shop is split over three levels. Not sure how you'd cope if you are mobility impaired.

    Best wine shop in Christchurch! Caters to all tastes and budgets. Be prepared to spend a while in this store as the options are endless. The staff are very knowledgeable and their recommendations/reviews are spot on. I do not bother buying wine from anywhere else and if i'm in a rush - simply order it online. 10/10
